Exceptional Early Tlingit Beaded Headdress Regalia “Eagle” Wool Sitka Alaska

Description

Early beaded headband that is hand stitch with older glass beads and of the “Eagle” moiety. It is a continental eagle and is an early Sitka, Alaska design, during the time when Russia owned Alaska. This is early spun and woven wool and not recently made, but was certainly made during this century. The head band has sinew for a tie closure. Please check out my other rare Alaskan auctions.
