VINTAGE ART DECO NOUVEAU SMALL GLASS AQUARIUM FISH TANK BOWL BATTERY JAR

We only ship to buyers in the U.S. The item will be shipped by Priority Mail. It will be heavily wrapped in bubblepack and shipped with styrofoam peanuts and sheets for protection in an 8 x 10 x 12 box.

For auction is an Art Deco or Nouveau glass aquarium fish tank / bowl that I was told it could possibly be a battery jar. Definitely an interesting vintage little tank - I just don't know what its its purpose was. This tank is one of the smaller sizes. The height is about 5 ¾ inches tall. The bottom of the tank its smaller than the top because of a lip or ledge on the upper part of the tank. The top dimensions are 7 inches across (wide) and 5 - 1/16 inches deep. Approximate bottom dimensions are 6 - 9/16 inches across (wide) and 4 - 5/8 inches deep. The aquarium is in very good condition with some minor scratches and wear reflecting its age and use. The lines at the bottom of the glass are creases from manufacturing or scratches. They do not go through to the other side of the glass, so they are not cracks. There are also some bubbles in the glass from manufacturing.
The pictures are an important part of the description - carefully check all of them for condition.
